Your Beliefs
In the past few years I have felt my views on political matters to be shifting. I am softening up to some ideas that right-wing people hold dear to them. But I am also hardening up on other issues.
Are your views changing as you age or are you sticking to your beliefs?

I've become more Libertarian, that's for sure ;)
My ideals haven't changed much since my early 20s, but I'm only 28, so perhaps I just need to give it time. My understanding of the world, on the other hand, has improved dramatically and I plan to maintain that pace of learning.
ummm, i don't know. i've been liberal basically since the obama/mccain election and my mom talked about john kerry a lot when i was a kid, but i didn't really form a strong opinion on anything until this year/last year.
I've done a complete 180 from my "belief". I'd say they are in a fluid and ever evolving state.
I use to think genocide against consevatives was morally questionable. Now, I believe I have a solution to the world's blood bank and organ donation problem.
I think we all in some way always adapt to what is going on around us. For me, I know that my views have changed over time. Not drastically like left to right, but slightly shift at certain times. We evolve as humans and as we do, so do our perceptions in life.
I'm a walking case study for a person's political beliefs shifting as they get older.
Mine have softened, I think as I've gotten older I realised more that life and it's issues aren't black and white, there's always a grey area.
my teacher told us how she had students who said they are so liberal and told them, "come back to me in 20 years. "
Mine certainly have since HS. Like 180 degrees different.
They have on some things. They have gone more to the libertarian views.
My beliefs about most things change over time, I think it's part of the magic that comes with experience.
I tend to think our positions change over the years but the issues change too.
I have been pretty constant, but I'm old and set in my ways. I just never let anyone see everything.
As I get more information on politics and history and the way civilization in general works; my way of explaining to people why certain policies are or are not bullshit, but essentially, I've held on to the same political belief system I had when I first filled out my voter registration card, which is "none of the above".
I have changed a lot over the years I without a doubt am much more in tune with myself and I am much more excepting of others and how they believe yes I am much more mellow with age
My views are pretty set, but I adjust them if I see I'm wrong about some issues.
it tend to change when we learn more things...
True story
@IntoTheWind1 - LOL
I would go as far as to say that a more intelligent person does not hold fast to specific (political) beliefs, but rather understands all sides of an issue as those who are inside that viewpoint see it, and then weighs the possibilities of all solutions to each problem in order to come up with the best solution. To answer the question, yeah, my views have changed moderately over the last few years/months as I've learned more about my opposing viewpoints. I used to think that my way was the best way, but now I understand that there are other ways of doing things that might also work, or have just as many advantages (and disadvantages) as my own beliefs.
In my early twenties I was a textbook liberal. Then I saw the error in my ways and became a textbook conservative. Shhhh, don't tell anyone, this is quite the liberal place this Xanga. So I avoid political debates.
They are changing but I don't want to get into it. I may snap.
Hi there. I stumbled across your blog in my browsing today.
My views are always growing, sometimes changing, sometimes becoming more defined. I'm open to debate and reasonable arguments that speak to me. I can say that in the last 14 years (the most formidable ones) my views have changed drastically. Mostly I realized that my previous views were based almost solely upon the views of others and not my own core beliefs.
