if he is a rapist which would have to be first proven in a court of law he's certainly no hero. i have mixed feelings about Wikileaks. in a perfect world everything should be an open book but often times there is good reason for classifying information. to protect the identities of people and their families. the exposure of Valerie Plame's identity as a CIA operative brought that to light. many documents are classified for reasons of national security. that being said, Wikileaks might offer our only hope of finding out why Mitt Romney is refusing to release his taxes. Paul Ryan too for that matter. Romney tells us to trust him but he lied about his tax returns in 2002 and was caught red-handed. 

Why do those two need to be mutually exclusive? Is O.J. Simpson any less of a football legend cuz of what he did to his whore wife and that motherfucker who was riding around in his car?

Immediately following the wikileaks scandal; he's accused of rape?! And shouldn't the American public be a little bit worried about anything involving government being secret? And how many shootings followed the Colorado Massacre? 

He may be a rapist. I don't really consider him to be a hero though I agree with the idea that governments and other powerful entities need to practice honesty rather than secrecy. I understand issues of national security and corporations needs to keep certain things secret but hiding things simply to prevent public outrage is not acceptable. 

I doubt there's a coincidence that the rape charges came along right after the wikileaks "scandal". My answer would be that he's neither a hero nor a rapist. One, i don't refer to anyone as a hero, so that eliminates such a possibility. Number two, i'm pretty sure the leaks were intentional, i don't buy that a Private in the military could get access to such things on his own power. If anything, some of the leaks strengthened propaganda. And nothing dirty that was really "unknown" came out of them. We already knew that soldiers were slaughtering innocent people. Most people don't care, or don't care to know. Lastly, just to state again, i would bet against him being a rapist considering the timing. But i also think this has propagated attention on Wikileaks further, which is ultimately what the G20 wants, because they want to have a kill switch on the internet when it's silencing time.

This dude reminds me of Jim Jones.  I don't think he's out to expose the world's biggest secrets, I think he's out to feed his ego.  Yeah, it is strange that the rape accusations come out after the Wikileaks.  But if you also look into rapists, they sometimes get away with it for a long time before someone turns them in.  The accusations against him are also kinda weird... he's accused of not wearing a condom when he said he was.  If that is at all true, I think it goes along with his personality... he thinks he's "fancy now".  Like seriously, I think he's a scary, shady person who wants to pump himself up.

So... hero?  No, a hero would go back to Sweden and clear the issue up.  Sweden swears it has no intention of handing him over to the US.  I real hero wouldn't be so afraid. 

He's sort of a hero. He is right to fear extradition to the U.S. This country has a lot of clout. It's pulled people out of foreign countries before, overstepping nations. He's not a coward for fearing that; he's smart about it. Our government has been known to engage in or hide some seriously shady shit. On that note I don't think he's a rapist. There's something seriously wrong with the media. The same channels that are supposed to report news talk about Miley Cyrus or some other celebrity. The timing of the accusation is way too convenient. Our government has overthrown other countries' governments. What's to say they can't trump up a false rape charge against ONE person? Mind you, I'm not ANTI-US. I'm anti-government corruption.
