  • Are Democratic Voters Closet Homophobes?


    There are a few fanfiction sites that cast Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan as homosexuals.

    Here is a story about it - LINK

    I am not even sure what these sites are trying to accomplish. It seems on one hand they're making fun of R & R for being in love with one another. On the other, by doing so, it seems to make fun of homosexuality.

    This does not seem right to me at all. What is everyone's feelings about R & R being made fun of for being gay lovers?

    I think it's just wrong. Both sides aren't doing any good so to distract us they pull crap like this.

    All in good fun. If conservatives want to paint Obama as a Muslim terrorist, liberals can paint Romney and Ryan as homosexuals.

    I think it's mainstream, not so much party affiliated.  Just like not all Republicans are super anti-abortion, I doubt all Democrats are super pro-gay (as in, it wouldn't be below some people to make a joke like this because they still have negative views towards gays).

    You know, somehow I think you lost a bit of your edge following your asphyxiation episode. "I am not even sure what these sites are trying to accomplish." Of course you know. You could tell US. In no uncertain terms.


    I'm thinking a lot since I've been "back" this last time after so many frequent hiatuses I don't know whether I'm coming or going. A lot of "Xanga" as I know and love it for most of the past six or seven years involves various members of the Xangabourgeois who develop rivalries with others. (Re: that guy in the wheelchair and you, f'rinstance)


    Okay. Okay. I'll answer the question. WTF?


    How about that.


    Only two celebrities/famous people have ever existed who could possibly be able to turn me. (And I'm sure neither of them would vote the Republican ticket!

    Don't know about Romney but Ryan looks pretty gay. Either way, it's not homophobic to make fun of Republican homosexuals, it's simply mocking their hypocrisy.

    I remember hearing Obama gay fanfic back in 2008 but I think he shed that by being in Spiderman.  Maybe if R-Money wins he can get in Justice League.

    i think it's uncalled for. what would be wrong with that? 

    yet it makes a point that when Romney picked Ryan he basically climbed into bed with Ryan's misogynist policies aka Todd Akin's misogynist policies, Ryan's economic policy and Ryan's attack on healthcare for the elderly. i've never known gays to be misogynistic though.

    Yay, people do that crap sometimes... Like I once stated that immigrants to the US should learn to speak English.  I didn't give a time frame or say that if they didn't they had to leave or any such nonsense.  Some "liberal" got into a tizzy and said that I didn't know what I was talking about and the only Mexicans I knew where the guys who cut my grass.  1) I said nothing about Mexicans.  2) I was highly offended (as a mother of three half-Mexican children) that she bought into the stereotype that Mexicans are just gardeners  3) My gardener was Vietnamese!  So, I ripped into her for her subtle racism.  But really how can you make fun of someone else as being a "gay couple" without being offensive... I mean you are suggesting that it is okay to make fun of being gay.

    on the other hand and speaking of spineless politicians, for purposes of making a point i will take a page from Mitt Romney's book. when asked for his opinion on Rush Limbaugh calling college student Sandra Fluke a slut and a prostitute because she testified before Congress about how her college friend could have benefited from  a contraceptive pill that doubles as medication for a serious health issue her friend is experiencing Romney's answer was "I would have used other language." well Mitt. i would have used another pic of you two.
